ICON Multimedia based in Palencia sets its solution DENEVA.cuatro for communication and interactivity in the new EFIDES Center.
(PALENCIA 10/22/2014).- ICON Multimedia and its Integral Communication System called DENEVA.cuatro has been selected by the City Council of Palencia to be the one who provides to this new multi-use Center with the latest interactive digital signage technology for the European Urban Plan.
The EFIDES Center in Palencia, recently opened, is a multi-purpose project to achieve digital literacy for citizens and SMEs of Palencia, who are especially concerned about unemployed people and their need for training in this subject, strengthen of user’s technological skills and abilities. This training makes possible job-placement, job-creation and is an economical engine in Palencia.
ICON Multimedia´s Project lets users control in an interactive way a total of 3 PTZ automatic cutting-edge cameras from AXIS brand. These cameras are remotely managed from a 55´´ screen located at the building´s hall and using Microsoft Kinect technology. They are placed in three different places of the center; used for automotive training in collaboration with Renault Spain, and also for Cookery and Environmental training.
User is placed facing the screen and this way and using only gestures he is able to select the camera of the room he wants to visit in that moment. You can also zoom-in and out and move the camera with gestures. All this enables anyone to make virtual visits across the different training areas of the Center.
Furthermore DENEVA player makes full use of Kinect when talking about shape analysis, and has exclusively developed for this project a screen that shows a virtual fish tank where 3D fishes swim freely. As soon as somebody is detected standing in front of it, they are linked to that person and fishes follow his movement.
Additionally the EFIDES Center benefits from the rest of DENEVA features in traditional Digital Signage, creating their own internal content channel and also another channel based on social media such as Facebook, Twitter whose target audience are students, teachers and visitors in general. This content is shown when there are no users interacting with the system.
This new DENEVA.cuatro feature that is being officially launched is currently being analyzed and evaluated by several clients, especially in retail sector because they are always looking for different ways to make users interact with Media Contents, it opens up a new world of communication possibilities.
