DENEVA webinar to enhance campus communication

DENEVA is hosting a webinar on Digital Signage deployment for enhancing Campus Communication. The webinar, set for 1 p.m., May, 24, will focus on the benefits of using Digital Signage for university students, faculties and visitors.

The speakers, who has a long experience on Digital Signage industry, will help attendees to generate more engagement with the education community, including:

  • Build directories and school wayfinding maps
  • Post automated event listing
  • Manage emergency messaging
  • Display infotainment: social media, quiz, weather channel…
  • How to use digital menu board to promote healthy menus.

Attendees will learn not only how to build a strategy for engaging students, faculties and staff at education campuses, but best to measure results to build a connected and safe community.

Join Viola Roseby, DENEVA North & Latin America BDM as she relays the brand’s first-hand experience on digital signage and DENEVA software solution. ICON Multimedia celebrates its 25th anniversary

On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary, ICON Multimedia offers to the city of Palencia, the exhibition “Once upon a time… Computer science: from abacus to smart city in vignettes and more”, a unique sample in Europe that presents, in a playful and educational way, the evolution of the computing that includes, furthermore, the las solutions in digital signage designed by ICON Multimedia.

Throughout its journey, the visitors will have the opportunity of knowing, chronologically, the relevant events and characters that changed the history of computing through explanatory panels that combine rigor with humor, thanks to the cartoons of the well-known artist Jorge Crespo Cano, corroborator of the magazine El Jueves.

The exhibition contains more than 200 valuable pieces, among them, the visitor will be able to discover the original book of the Mathematical Theory the Communication by Shannon & Weaver (1949) or discover the MADAS calculator (1913), a machine derived from the Colmar arithmometer of 1820, which allowed the realization, for the first time, of divisions automatically.

Likewise, the collection includes pioneering pieces in its field, as the first laptop (1981) with a weight of 12 kg, and the first microprocessor INTEL D4004 model (1971); the largest and smallest calculation rules in history; a comparison of hard drives of all sizes: a wide representation of the first video-consoles… and a long etcetera.

The exhibition will be opened to the public, for free, until the 15th of July and may be visited from Tuesday to Friday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

In addition, concerted visits will be developed, with prior reservation, for schoolchildren form de educational centers of the capital and the province, and playful workshops for the whole family.
