The Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, visited the ICON Multimedia lab located on the UAX Madrid-Chamberí campus as part of the Business & Tech Day organized by Alfonso X el Sabio University (UAX). During his tour, he had the opportunity to learn firsthand about some of the technological projects we are developing at ICON, with Madrid serving as a strategic hub for promoting smart mobility and creating innovative digital experiences.
The event, focused on talent and employability in the technology sector, served as a meeting point for institutions, companies, and the university community. In this context, at ICON Multimedia, we had the opportunity to share with the Mayor our strong commitment to training the new generations of professionals in the digital sector, as well as our dedication to purpose-driven technology aimed at improving quality of life in urban environments.
Our space at UAX not only functions as a hub for experimentation and innovation in digital signage solutions but also serves as a bridge between the university and the business world, facilitating knowledge transfer, practical learning, and talent identification.
The Mayor’s presence reinforces the importance of this type of public-private collaboration in building a robust technological ecosystem, with Madrid as a reference point in the development of digital solutions that serve the community.
