ICON Multimedia has now enabled twenty-four digital information screens that runs with DENEVA Passenger Information System. Those are located in seven stations of the line B, which connects San Antonio with San Javier, in western Medellín, in addition to updating it platform already installed in the tram and cable network of Ayacucho.

Specifically, these are high-end industrial monitors in different sizes and located in strategic spaces with greater traffic, which show real-time information of the arrival time of the following trains to the station where find the traveler; information about the Culture Metro and the city’s agenda, among other, to improve the passenger experience.

The installation of these visual information systems is part of Metro Medellin project, called Citizen Information Center (CIC), which includes different channels to offer useful information to its travelers during all time. Currently, accounts on social networks, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Instagram are already running, as well as the digital displays of the bus stations of the line 1 and tram stops of Ayacucho and the Metrocable Orienten – Villa Sierra (Line H), which are now added the internal screens of the line B.

Also, by the end of this year, external screens will be put into service at the stations of lines A and B. These screens will be located on the footbridges or pedestrian bridges of stations on line A, while on line B they will be close to the accesses. With them citizens will be informed themselves about the operation of the Metro system.

DENEVA has been designed as a scalable web management tool that adapts the real time information that the passenger needs, making easier the centralized management of all means of transport, with the possibility of incorporating a loudspeaker system module for notices, advertising and warning messages.
