New commemorative logo: ICON Multimedia’s 30th Anniversary

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary, we present our new commemorative logo that reinforces the figure of 30 years and will be used in the various supports of the company during the next year 2023. The creation has been designed by Sofía Navarrete, a student of the Graphic Design Degree at the Escuela Superior de Diseño de Valladolid (ESI) and winner of the logo design contest held among the students of the educational institution. An initiative that arises from the collaboration agreement that ICON Multimedia has with ESI, with the aim of involving students, and thus promote employability and attracting talent to the company.

The commemorative logo seeks to maintain the essence of ICON Multimedia and evidences the historical legacy and the constant advances towards digitalization. It reflects the brand identity using modern touches with red and incomplete shades that give the logo three-dimensional effects and link it to its sector while maintaining the corporate colors.

This contest is the kick-off of the activities to commemorate ICON Multimedia’s anniversary. The company plans to carry out several actions involving both its employees and customers, as well as the rest of Palencia’s citizens and collaborating institutions. All of them with a main thread: innovation. In the words of Enrique Hornos, CEO of ICON Multimedia: “2023 will be a year of celebration. We want it to be a proud look at the past, but claiming our constant commitment to add value to society, not only from a technological point of view, but also from other important aspects such as employability”.

denevaDS: changes and improvements of the new version

The denevaDS version of ICON Multimedia’s web-based content management software for Digital Signage focuses on improved user experience and more efficient device management. It incorporates a new interface with responsive design available in different languages, much faster in programming and loading content.

ICON Multimedia has introduced all the advanced features of its predecessor version, Deneva.Cuatro; it also incorporates new functions aimed at simultaneously and centrally managing multiple complex digital signage circuit devices with high number of display points, as well as new third-party integrations, and greater scalability.

The new software interface integrates a powerful Data Sources manager that lets the user connect and automate data from external sources, allowing them to interact with the information displayed in real time. In addition, the new denevaDS is reinforced with the highest cybersecurity standards making the platform more robust and reliable.

“The main goal of this powerful update is to be able to offer the user a tool with greater operational flexibility and scalability, with a much more friendly design, which allows to streamline workflows and guarantees the technological evolution of each business,” says Juan Carlos Martín, General Sales Manager of DENEVA.

denevaDS also reinforces its data dashboards and metrics to help advertisers perform more in-depth analysis of content displayed based on hours viewed, or other audience demographics, among other parameters. In this way, it allows you to calculate in a more precise way, the efficiency ratios that have an impact on marketing strategies.

On-board systems, ICON Multimedia’s bet for InnoTrans 2022

ICON Multimedia will be at InnoTrans 2022 (Hall 22/Stand 710), the world’s largest trade fair focused on rail transport, held in Berlin, where it will show its DENEVA Digital Signage solution aimed at providing better mobility experiences for users in the sector. On this occasion, the software manufacturer will attend the event with a strong commitment to on-board passenger information communication systems for trams, metros and railways.

To realise this potential, DENEVA offers rail operators a comprehensive communication solution that, in an aggregated form, provides all the tools (including external data sources) to implement an on-board infotainment system. This includes centralised management of all the critical information passengers need, including up-to-date arrival forecasts, incident alerts, multimedia entertainment content, or real-time weather information for destinations.

In addition, DENEVA now goes further. The platform offers the possibility of exploitation of the system by third party companies, thus reducing infrastructure costs, and an improved return on investment. Its practical application allows, for example, the creation of new revenue channels to attract passengers to station shops and restaurants through promotions; or a possible partnership with surrounding hotels and leisure attractions to promote tourism and local destinations.

DENEVA finalist for “Best Digital Signage Technology” at the AV Awards

ICON Multimedia’s digital communication platform, DENEVA, has been nominated as “Best Digital Signage Technology of the Year”.  The jury of the international AV Awards has recognized this solution for its versatility and adaptability to complex digital signage circuits, allowing agile management, monitoring and centralized administration of them, as well as content creation.

DENEVA specializes in the creation of unique interactive experiences, with the aim of showing an innovative and groundbreaking brand image to customers.

It is currently present in more than 12,000 locations, driving the digital transformation of a wide range of sectors: restaurants, supermarkets, retail, transportation, etc.

The winners of the AV Awards will be announced on November 4, 2022 at a ceremony to be held in London.

RENFE awards the maintenance of the Digital Information System for passengers to ICON Multimedia

With the aim of promoting Digital Signage as a strategic media of communication, RENFE has chosen the DENEVA content management software to deliver messages, strategies, information, etc. to customers, remotely, planned and dynamic.

In this way, ICON Multimedia will implement its software in a total of 800 points, for a period of two years, in different stations in various geographical areas. The project includes the adaptation to the new content and metadata settings, the installation and configuration of the players, consultancy of the channel management to RENFE staff, and technical helpdesk services.

The platform will be distributed in different displays, including the network assigned to self-service machines, providing corporate information and integrating external data such as weather, news or other feeds.

ICON Multimedia is already preparing its presence at Innotrans, the world’s largest trade fair focused on rail transport, which will take place in Berlin (Germany) from September 20 to 23.

ICON Multimedia, sponsoring company of the Foundation of the VII Palencia’s Cathedral Centenary

ICON Multimedia and the Foundation of the VII Palencia’s Cathedral Centenary, promoted by the Diocese of Palencia, have signed a sponsorship agreement with the aim of promoting this event through DooH (Digital Out of Home). In this way, a large format LED display will be placed at the Foundation’s disposal to advertise the RENACER Exhibition. This device is located in the Palencia Industrial Park, fully visible from the A67 highway, on the Santander – León – Burgos – Valladolid junction.

The agreement signed by the representatives of both entities, Enrique Hornos, CEO of ICON Multimedia and the Bishop of Palencia, Manuel Herrero, circumscribes the donation to the cession of a percentage of the advertising space of this digital outdoor screen, whose estimated impact is estimated at a daily average of 25,000 vehicles / day. The content management is done through DENEVA platform, ICON Multimedia’s software, which enables the segmentation of advertising blocks by time slots or days of the week. One more attraction to draw the attention of passers-by to visit the city and the exhibition. 

The signing of the sponsorship agreement also includes the realization, by ICON Multimedia, of other actions such as the organization of a day for the promotion of the VII Centenary of the Cathedral of Palencia. These will be developed until December, the end date of all the commemorative events carried out by the Organizing Committee of the Foundation.

ICON Multimedia renews the SME Innovative seal of Approval

The Ministry of Science and Innovation, throught the General Secretariat of Innovation, has granted the renewal of the Innovative SME Seal to ICON Multimedia, valid for three years.  

This seal, currently in force in the company, recognizes and revalidates the company’s commitment to technological development and innovation. It is a public recognition of SME companies that generate activities that promote scientific and technological knowledge, both in processes and in services and products, and that provide value by differentiating themselves from the competition.

The seal responds to ICON Multimedia’s commitment to continuous improvement in performance and services provided, with the aim of adapting to changes in the industry and the needs and demands of customer projects.

Nokia and ICON Multimedia sign a global alliance to promote the digital competitiveness of railway operators

Nokia one of  the innovative and technology leaders across mobile, fixed and cloud networks, and the Spanish digital signage software manufacturer, ICON Multimedia, have signed a global distribution agreement that promotes the competitiveness of railway operators, and the digital transformation of the stations.  

This strategic alliance allows the two companies to tackle worldwide projects by integrating the digital passenger experience solutions that ICON Multimedia develops, within the Telecom Integration Package Services that Nokia offers and deploys for its clients.

THAT Concept Store project by ICON Multimedia awarded with the AV Integration Award in the ‘Digital Signage’ category

Mirandda for THAT concept store

‘Integración Audiovisual’ magazine has recognized ICON Multimedia with the award for ‘Best Digital Signage / Dooh Project‘ for the implementation of its Mirandda solution for MAF Group. Through Blue Rhine Industries, our partner in Emirates, the fittiong room area of THAT Concept Store, a futuristic store located in the Mall of Emirates in Dubai, has been digitized.

In this context, THAT was looking after the incorporation of a element in accordance with its brand’s values and its onmichannel strategty, with would allow the creation of a hybrid concept between the physical store and ecommerce.

ICON Multimedia suggests the fitting room area to integrate its Mirandda solutions, wich allows retaining customers in that area, increase sales possibilities, provide staff with better service tolos and, finally, increase the ticket by offering related products.

Mirandda is ICON Multimedia’s smart mirror that, by integrating RFID technology, allows the identification of garments placed in the fitting room. The customers receives, through this display, other recommendations and possible combinations to complete the outfit. In addition, it is possible to request other sizes and colors available from the staff without having to leave the fitting room, look up more information about the composition of the garment or access the complete catalog of other articles availables in store.
